Six suspects arrested by undercover drugs squad officers deny heroin-trafficking charges.

Dublin District Court heard evidence in six different cases yesterday that defendants had approached and sold £20 "deals" of heroin to undercover officers.

Pleas of not guilty were entered by each defendant, and dates for hearing were set for later this month and early April.

Mr Wayne Leahy (23), of Coultry Avenue, Ballymun, is charged with having heroin for supply at Ballymun town centre on December 8th.

Ms Marie and Ms Carol Gately, of Balcurris Road, Ballymun, and Ms Lisa McCarthy, of Belclare Avenue, Ballymun, appeared each charged with having heroin for supply at Ballymun Town Centre on January 7th.

Mr Denis Lalor (36), of Croydon Park, Marino, and Mr Adrian Lalor (27), of Philipsburgh Avenue, Fairview, are each accused of having heroin for supply at Cathal Brugha Street, Dublin, on December 6th.

Judge Terence Finn accepted jurisdiction after hearing the DPP had consented to the cases being heard summarily.
