Heroin dealer is remanded

A man is to be sentenced in December by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for drug dealing.

Michael Cronin (24), formerly of Liberty House and with an address at Lower Buckingham Street, Dublin, pleaded guilty to having heroin for supply on September 28th, 1996.

Mr Brendan Grehan, counsel for the prosecution, told Judge Cyril Kelly the State would enter a nolle prosequi against a woman who had also been charged with the same offence. The heroin had a street value of £15,000.

Judge Kelly directed the preparation of a probation report. The sentence hearing at which evidence of the crime will be given was fixed for December 2nd, with Cronin remanded on continuing bail.
