On the Town: Some loved the slow-motion fight scene in Jobless Satisfaction. Others, such as TCD philosophy lecturer Joseph O'Gorman, picked the "hysterical" famine scene.
The award-winning comic actors and writers, Aisling B O'Sullivan and Brona C Titley, who opened this week with their new work, Jobless Satisfaction, at the Players Theatre in TCD, will also be treading the boards at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August.
Cian O'Brian, the play's producer (who is also the newly appointed administrator of Focus Theatre), expects the Brash and Bling production to sell out at the weekends in the popular Smirnoff Underbelly venue in Edinburgh. In Dublin, the comedy runs until Saturday, starting at 6pm.
Among those who attended the opening this week were actor Daniel Reardon; students Abie Philbin Bowman and Michael Doyle; Paul Sammon and Emma Barrett, from Kildare town; Eileen Diskin, from Pittsburgh, USA; and Tanya Dean, from Dunboyne, Co Meath.
