A homeless man has been found dead on a street in Galway city.
The man, understood to be in his fifties, was found around midday lying at the back of the Barr Aille housing estate off the Tuam Road, close to the Ibis Hotel.
The area has been sealed off, but gardaí said they are not treating the death as suspicious.
Gardaí believe he may have died from hypothermia. Temperatures dropped to between one and six degrees last night.
