The third Abbeyleix Food Fair promises a day of food-loving fun on Sunday, August 30th, when the organisers will once again bring together 40 to 50 local food producers from the region, team them up with the Temple Bar Market stalwarts, organise wine demos by specialists such as David Dennison and Colm Brangan, and dazzle us with the skills of chefs such as Neven Maguire and Derry Clarke.
There will also be book signings and - everyone hopes - a spot of the sunshine which eluded this wonderful day out last year. This is one of the best festivals in the calendar, and not to be missed.
