The dispute which threatened the development of a proposed £35 million hotel in central Dublin has been settled, the High Court has been told.

Last week the court heard legal proceedings had been instituted against a property developer, Mr Garrett Kelleher, of Appian Way, Ranelagh, Dublin, and his company, Holridge Ltd.

Mr Justice Kelly had heard Mr Ronan O Caoimh had claimed Mr Kelleher agreed to sell him a 24.99 per cent interest in the shareholding of Holridge Ltd and that properties bought at the junction of Moore Street and Parnell Street for the erection of the hotel would be transferred to Holridge Ltd.

Yesterday Mr Kelleher's counsel, Mr Richard N. Kean, told Mr Justice John Quirke the dispute had been settled and all the proceedings could be struck out with no further order.

Mr Kean said it was important for his client, Mr Kelleher, that it be noted the withdrawal of the proceedings had been achieved without any compensation or any contribution having been made towards Mr O Caoimh's costs in the matter.
