Liverpool manager Gerard Houllier is planning to go on a spending spree to save his side's season, with Charlton's England Under-21 international Paul Konchesky believed to be at the top of his list of targets.
According to reports in the British press this morning, Houllier has Stg£15 million at his disposal to delve into the transfer market when the window opens in January.
Having gone eight games without a win, Liverpool are enduring their worst league run since the 1950s and are believed to be preparing a £5 million bid to lure Konchesky away from the Valley.
