A house in Co Monaghan has been raided this morning as part of the investigation into the murder of a man in a Clones flat yesterday.
Detectives investigating the killing of the man (21) at a flat in the north Monaghan town also took a number of cars for technical examination today.
They raided the house on the Clones-to-Scotstown road this morning and sealed it off for technical examination.
It is understood the victim - a Lithuanian - sustained a number of stab wounds at the flat on Roslea Road at Corcummins, near Clones Golf Club.
Gardaí were called to the house an hour earlier after a complaint was made about a party at the flat that had continued into the morning.
They left, were called back again after a report of an altercation, and found the man dead at 9.15am.
It is believed the victim had been living in Co Fermanagh.
Gardaí are investigating the possibility that the killer or killers may have fled across the Border.
