HP Ireland has signed a multi-million euro contract with the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety in the North
The four year contract which is valued up to €78.5 million covers ICT needs for regional projects. HP will provide a range of technical and advisory services as well as hardware and software to a number of health organisations.
Northern Ireland Health Minister Michael McGimpsey said the deal would help the health service to speed up processes to ensure that patients get the right care and treatment.
The contract includes projects such as the modernisation of a Patient Administration System used by all hospitals in Northern Ireland.
Meanwhile, Martin Murphy, HP's managing director in Ireland, said the agreement meant that HP would play a vital role in making a contribution to the delivery of quality health care in the North.
