Two Hewlett-Packard officials and a private investigator have been subpoenaed to testify to a congressional committee on Thursday about the company's investigation into boardroom leaks.

The US House Energy and Commerce subcommittee on investigations said

yesterday it had subpoenaed Kevin Hunsaker, HP's chief ethics officer, and Anthony Gentilucci, the head of global investigations for HP.

Also subpoenaed was Ron DeLia, operator of Security Outsourcing Solutions. One committee aide said DeLia may invoke his constitutional right not to testify for fear of incriminating himself.

The Thursday hearing will seek testimony from HP Chief Executive Officer Mark Hurd about how hired investigators obtained phone call records of HP board members, at least two employees, and of journalists while trying to find out who leaked confidential information from board meetings.

Also scheduled to testify are Patricia Dunn, who resigned last week as chairman for her role in the scandal, and Ann Baskins, HP's general counsel, among others.

HP is now under investigation by the US Justice Department, California's attorney general, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the House panel.
