The extradition hearing of a man convicted in Germany in connection with human trafficking has been adjourned until next Tuesday.

Mr Akpojo Tor Koulibaly was arrested in Tallaght last Wednesday on foot of an extradition warrant from Germany where he was convicted in his absence of forgery, claiming residence and human trafficking-linked crimes.

British police also want to question Mr Koulibaly, in connection with the discovery of a young Nigerian boy in the River Thames in London in September 2001.

The boys head, arms and legs were severed when he was discovered by a passer-by under London Bridge. He was thought to be between four and seven years hold when he was killed.
