Hundreds die as dykes `blown up'

Hong Kong - Hundreds of soldiers and residents were killed on Saturday as Chinese authorities ordered dykes along the Yangtze river to be blown up to prevent major cities being engulfed by rising flood waters, a rights group said last night.
