Soccer:Stephen Hunt is expected to make his first start of the season for Wolves when Mick McCarthy's club travel to Old Trafford tomorrow for their League Cup tie with the defending champions.
Hunt came off the bench against Chelsea on Saturday after recovering from a long-standing foot injury and is now in line for a place in the starting line-up.
Even with a fit-again Hunt in their ranks, the size of the task facing McCarthy is a daunting one. United last lost a league cup tie to Coventry over three years ago while Wolves have not enjoyed a victory at Old Trafford in over 30 years, and lost both last season’s Premier League encounters without scoring a goal.
The sides met in last season’s third round when Danny Welbeck’s second-half strike proved decisive as United recovered from the dismissal of Fabio da Silva to register a 1-0 victory.
