Mr Daniel Toscan du Plantier (57), the husband of the murdered Frenchwoman, Ms Sophie Toscan du Plantier, has married for the fourth time. Mr du Plantier, a wealthy film producer, married Ms Melissa Nikolic (29) in the town hall of Auch near his Toulouse chateau at the weekend.
Earlier this year the couple had a daughter, Tosca.
Ms Toscan du Plantier was killed on December 23rd, 1996, at her holiday home at Toormore near Schull in west Cork. Her relatives have complained constantly that not enough is being done to bring the case to a conclusion. Mr Toscan du Plantier has also been critical.
Gardai have interviewed hundreds of people in connection with the murder and brought several in for questioning. Nonetheless the Garda authorities in west Cork say that there has been no breakthrough.
Some months ago Ms Toscan du Plantier's parents, George and Margaret Bouniol, attended a memorial service for their daughter in a small church near Schull.
