CANNES is this week's place to see and be seen, next week it's Paris. The ongoing festivities of L'Imaginaire Irlandais will peak with the Abbey's productions of Frank McGuinness's Observe The Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme and J.M. Synge's The Well of the Saints for Presidents Robinson and Chirac. Another highlight includes a preview of Anne Madden and Louis le Brocquy's exhibition at Galerie Maeght tonight in the presence of Ambassador Patrick O'Connor.

Director Bill Hughes, ho made the first Boyzone video as well as Paolo Tullio's RTE series, has taken time off to take in both openings. Hughes and his business partner - Cathy O'Connor are in the process of filming a new television series, Minors with a Mission, which spotlights conscientious teens as they campaign for environmental and humanitarian causes.
