A man appeared before a special sitting of Dungarvan District Court on Saturday charged in connection with the death of Ms Lorraine Crowley.
Mr Keith Hannigan, in his early thirties, of Philip Street, was charged with offences under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Persons Act.
He was arrested at 10 p.m. on Friday in Co Tipperary and was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act. A file is being sent to the DPP.
The body of Ms Crowley (36) was discovered in her home near Dungarvan town centre shortly after 8 a.m. on Thursday by a family member.

The court heard that more serious charges are being considered. The accused was remanded in custody to Waterford District Court next week.
