Polish pilgrimage to Knock
Hundreds of members of the Polish community in Ireland have attended a special pilgrimage to Knock on Saturday.
Welcoming the mostly young contingent of pilgrims to Our Lady's Basilica, the Archbishop of Tuam, Dr Michael Neary, told them: "My hope is that you will remain true to your faith and influence the people of Ireland."
The archbishop, who organised the pilgrimage due to the growing population of migrant Poles here, was warmly applauded when he said the Irish and Polish people shared so much in common, particularly faith in God and a great love of the late John Paul II.
