Russian spy who loves men who need love

MOSCOW – Glamorous Russian spy Anna Chapman has told a men’s magazine she likes hopeless romantics in her first interview since she was deported from the United States in July.

The redhead’s favourite category of men were “those who need love to be the biggest and most wonderful feeling in their life”, she told Russia’s Maxim. Chapman graces the front cover of Maxims November issue in lacy underwear and holding a silver revolver. – (Reuters)

15 Taliban reported killed in Nato raid

KABUL – A raid by Nato soldiers and a back-up airstrike killed 15 Taliban members in southern Afghanistan yesterday.

Nato confirmed the operation to detain a senior Taliban leader was followed by the airstrike in Helmand province. Elsewhere, an attack in eastern Afghanistan killed a Nato soldier, bringing to 50 the number killed this month. – (AP)

Trafficking charge for former doctor

LONDON – A retired doctor accused of trafficking an African woman into the UK and keeping her as a virtual slave appeared in court yesterday.

Saeeda Khan (68) allegedly paid Mwanahamisi Mruke just £10 (€11.26) a month to do round-the-clock chores at her £500,000 suburban home.
