Prominent Turkish bishop murdered
ISTANBUL – A Catholic bishop who was a leading figure in Christian communities in the Middle East was stabbed to death in his home in southern Turkey yesterday. Police arrested his driver in connection with the case.
The murder of Luigi Padovese, who served as apostolic vicar in the town of Iskenderun, near the biblical town of Antioch, raises concerns about the safety of minorities in predominantly Muslim Turkey, where Christians have been targeted previously.

Fired for being 'too shapely', court told
NEW YORK - A woman in New York has sued Citigroup Inc, accusing the bank of firing her for being too good- looking.
Debrahlee Lorenzana alleged that management had warned her not to dress like her female co-workers because her “shapeliness” upset her “easily distracted” male colleagues and supervisors.
The lawsuit was first filed in November 2009. It received new attention after a story in the Village Voice.

Death of 'Golden Girl' Blanche
LOS ANGELES – Actress Rue McClanahan, best known for her role in the TV comedy series Golden Girls, has died at the age of 76, her manager told Peoplemagazine.
McClanahan, who played fun-loving southern belle Blanche Devereaux in the 1980s sitcom, died of a stroke yesterday, manager Barbara Lawrence told the magazine. – (Reuters)
