A man has appeared in court in connection with the dissident republican bombing of a police station in Derry last August, writes Dan Keenan
The 22-year-old, from Derry city, faces charges linked to the bombing of Strand Road PSNI station.
Man shot in arm near Dublin airport
A man in his 40s suffered arm injuries during a shooting near Swords yesterday. The shooting took place on the Naul Road at the back of Dublin airport at about 1pm.
A gunman alighted from a car and fired a number of shots into the drivers side of the parked car.
Labour postpones national meeting
The national conference of the Labour Party, which was due to take place at NUI Galway from April 8th to April 10th next year, has been postponed indefinitely.
A party statement said yesterday this was “because of uncertainty about the date of the general election”.
