Arrests as boy (4) is stabbed to death
LONDON- British police opened a murder investigation yesterday after a four-year-old boy was stabbed to death and his 14-year-old sister was left with serious stab wounds.
Two men were arrested in connection with the incident.
West Yorkshire Police were called to a property in the village of Slaithwaite near Huddersfield at about 1pm, a spokeswoman said.
The injured boy and girl were taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, where the boy died soon after. The girl is being treated for "serious" injuries.

Ahmadinejad says Iran not war-bound
NEW YORK- Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iran did not need nuclear weapons and his country was not heading for war with the United States, according to a television interview.
Mr Ahmadinejad was speaking before travelling to New York for the UN General Assembly. Plans for him to speak at New York's Columbia University have drawn protests.

Businessman backs McCanns' fight
LONDON- A multimillionaire businessman has joined Virgin boss Richard Branson in providing financial backing to the parents of missing Madeleine McCann.
Brian Kennedy, who is estimated to be worth about £250 million (€360 million), said yesterday he felt compelled to help Gerry and Kate McCann fight the "incredible accusations" against them.
