Indian security forces have killed six members of a hardline Islamic militant group in Kashmir.
The rebels were from the Lashkar-e-Taiba group that had declared a unilateral four-day truce in Indian Kashmir for the Muslim Eid al-Fitr religious holiday.
The rebels were killed overnight in Dhanmoh in northern Baramulla district.
Residents claim one house was "bombed" by Indian troops for no apparent reason during the operation.

Three people were injured after police opened fire when people of the village took to the streets to protest the "bombing," witnesses said.
The army said soldiers had fired some rounds when some of the protesters tried to snatch their weapons.
