Irish industrial production rose 6.1 per cent in the last quarter of 2003 compared to the previous three months, according data from the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
The figures show that production rose 17 per cent in the last month of 2003 compared to the same month a year earlier. This is the fastest year-on-year growth since May 2002.
The CSC says the figures are early estimates and a final reading will be published soon.
