Gardai in Co Clare have appealed for witnesses to an accident at 2.45 p.m. yesterday on the Birdhill-Killaloe road, half a mile from Killaloe. A pedestrian was struck by a passing vehicle whose driver failed to stop, but continued towards Killaloe. Gardai are seeking information about a red space wagon and anyone with information is asked to contact them at (061) 376242.
