Israeli Air Force Hercules transport planes carrying the three Israelis killed in the hotel attack in Mombasa, as well as over 20 other Israeli tourists injured in the suicide blast, landed at Ben-Gurion Airport yesterday.

Another two planes, carrying 235 Israeli tourists who were in the coastal city and chose to return home immediately, also landed yesterday.

Among the wounded was Ora Anter, the mother of Noy and Dvir, aged 12 and 14, the two Israeli children killed in the attack.

She is in a serious condition. Albert Dehaville, a 60-year-old tour guide, was the third Israeli killed. Grieving relatives of the three waited alongside a terminal as their coffins were unloaded.

Also among the wounded, were two Kenyans seriously injured in the explosion who were brought to Israel for treatment at the request of the Kenyan government.

There were suggestions yesterday, by some intelligence and weapons experts in Israel, that the shoulder-launched Strela missiles fired at the Boeing 757 passenger plane taking off from Mombasa, missed their target because of a secret on-board defence system.
