Wexford County Coroner's Court has delivered verdicts of death by drowning in the cases of three men who died when a trawler sank off the Wexford Coast in November 2005.
Rising SunSkipper Patrick Colfer (37), of Lord Garden, Slade, Fethard-on-Sea, Co Wexford, was never recovered when his fishing boat sank off the Saltee Islands on November 29th, 2005, while crew member Jimmy Meyler (47) of Ballyhack Upper, Co Wexford, having being rescued along with Ian Tierney, of Neamstown, Kilmore Quay, Co Wexford, later died in Wexford General Hospital.
Diver Billy O'Connor (51) of Bawnmore, New Ross, Co Wexford, lost his life when he went on a dive on December 1st, 2005, approximately six miles off the coast of Kilmore Quay searching for the wreck.
