A drug addict who was admitted to hospital with a large abscess on his buttock died of rapidly advancing sepsis, an inquest at Dublin City Coroner's Court was told yesterday.

Mr Mark Ryan (24), of John's Field Road, Bride Street, Dublin, died in St James's Hospital on May 24th last. He told staff on admission that he was "skin popping" heroin into his buttocks.
