SEPARATE INQUESTS into two deaths at Dublin County Coroner's Court yesterday heard that both men had used cocaine.
A 24-year-old man from Tallaght, who hanged himself in the attic of the house where he lived with his fiancée, their daughter and his fiancée's daughter, after a night out, had used cocaine, cannabis and alcohol before his death.
Coroner Dr Kieran Geraghty recorded a cause of death by hanging and a verdict of death by suicide.
A second inquest heard that a 39-year-old man from Clondalkin, Dublin, who was discovered dead in bed by his partner on the morning of January 3rd, 2008, had used cocaine.
Dr Geraghty recorded a verdict of death by misadventure.
Meanwhile, a 34-year-old man died after consuming a very high level of alcohol, a separate inquest heard.
The Dublin County Coroner's Court heard that the dead man, who was found in bed by his uncle on January 1st, 2008, had 572 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood in his system.
The coroner recorded a verdict of death by misadventure.
