THE Minister for Education, Mr Martin, has appointed an inspector to investigate allegations of misconduct during recent exams at a Co Meath school.

The inspector will look at the rules for the conduct of the exams and into an allegation of personation of a candidate at an exam. A separate disciplinary inquiry is also under way. The Department confirmed the school principal was suspended on June 16th.

The Department said it would not be appropriate for the Minister to comment further.
