• The number of pupils enrolled on September 30th, 2008 - the day in which staffing requirements for the school year 2008/9 were set;
• The increase in class size from 27 to 28 which cuts teacher numbers;
• The loss of teaching posts from schools which are no longer designated as disadvantaged and
• The new Budget ceiling of a maximum two Language Support teachers for most schools.
