Irish software firm Iona Technologies today announced third quarter revenues of $41.0 million, a 3 per cent increase on the $39.9 million reported last year.
The company also reported a pro forma net loss of $2.2 million, or $0.08 per share, for the third quarter of 2001.
The company repeated its claim that it will return to cash profitability in the fourth quarter.
The company expects sequential revenue growth of 5-10pc in the fourth quarter and pro forma earnings per share to be in the range of zero to 3 cents.
"Iona achieved solid results for the third quarter in the face of a continued economic slowdown and the disruptive events of September 11th that affected business worldwide," said Mr Barry Morris, Iona's chief executive.
"We were on track to achieve our financial goals prior to the events of September 11th, but after that point it became very difficult to close third quarter business, particularly with financial services companies," added Mr Dan Demmer, Iona's Chief Financial Officer.
