The newspaper of President Saddam Hussein's elder son has denounced "American hysteria" for a new resolution allowing the use of force against Iraq.
The Babelnewspaper, run by Saddam's son Uday, also urged the Security Council to stand up to such "evil policies".

"Why this American hysteria to issue a new resolution despite the previous resolution that is still there and is being implemented with clear effectiveness?" it asked.
"Iraq hopes for the continued steadfastness of the defenders of peace and those who care for the prestige, neutrality and position of the Security Council," said the paper.
The papers said Iraq trusted "all just and good people in the world" to oppose any new resolution of the Security Council, "contradicting evil US policies".
"We say to whom it may concern that when the United Nations avoids US pressures and rejects the victory of the logic of US usurpation at the Security Council, it is a victory for entire humanity and a victory for international legitimacy and laws".
President George W. Bush has warned that the United States will go it alone if the United Nations does not pass a resolution authorising the use of force against Iraq within two months.
