At least 17 people have been killed on the outskirts of Moscow after a truck carrying concrete crashed into a passenger bus this afternoon.

A further 22 people have been hospitalised, according to Russian’s Emergency Services Ministry.

The incident occurred when the truck hit the side of the bus near Oznobishino, a suburb in the about 25 miles south of Moscow’s city centre.

The drivers of both vehicles are among those taken to hospital, Russian news reports said.
