This is the 10th anniversary of the pre-Advent inter-church journey and this year’s theme is ‘God has taken the lowly and raised them on high’. People from all walks of life, churched and unchurched, plus representatives of 13 local congregations of six denominations and various ethnic backgrounds come together for this venture.
As the churches prepare for a “new year” with the coming of Advent, the Dublin Council of Churches sees this journey as a simple sign of togetherness and as a witness to the hope all churches share. Participants will engage in an act of worship that evolves as they visit each of the host churches and which will explore the theme of the Magnificat through reflection and prayer in word and music.
