The deadline for people filing paper returns for the Local Property Tax is today.
Revenue said returns with a postmark from today would be regarded as being filed on time.
A spokeswoman said returns had been filed in respect of some 300,000 properties as of yesterday.
“It is important that Revenue receives this information on time so that the necessary arrangements are put in place for those who want to spread their payments evenly throughout 2014,” the spokeswoman said.
A helpline is available until 8pm for those with queries or who need assistance filing their return at 1890 200 255.
Last week Revenue extended its deadline for paper forms by seven days due to the volume of queries it received.
There has been widespread public criticism that taxpayers paying by plastic card have had to pay the 2013 tax and the 2014 tax within one year.
Further controversy surrounded the tax at the weekend when Revenue said thousands of homeowners are expected to receive refunds on their local property tax due to an unclear clause in legislation.
Those filing returns using Revenue’s online system, which requires a property ID and pin, have until November 27th to complete the process.
