A fire which started in the basement of the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin was brought under control by members of the Dublin Fire Brigade on Monday evening.
No one was hurt in the incident which is understood to have started in a cooler room in the basement of the theatre on South King Street in Dublin at around 5.30pm.
A fire crew attended the scene in three engines and a turntable ladder cutting off access to the area for a time this evening.

However, the fire was brought under control within 30 minutes of the crew arriving at the scene.
A spokesman for the Dublin Fire Brigade said, while there had been some smoke damage, it was expected that damage to the theatre would be minimal.
