Kitchen warehouse extensively damaged in Coolock overnight

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding a number of fires in the Darndale area of Coolock in Dublin last night in which a kitchen warehouse was extensively damaged.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding a number of fires in the Darndale area of Coolock in Dublin last night in which a kitchen warehouse was extensively damaged.

Fire broke out at three derelict houses in Darndale at about 9.10pm and three units of Dublin Fire Brigade attended the scene.

Shortly afterwards, cars were set on fire at Summerhill Spares, a used car parts stockist in the Malahide Road Industrial Park.

At 10.15pm a third fire was reported at PC Kitchens, also in the industrial park. Four units attended this fire and it was finally brought under control at 4am.

One unit of the fire brigade remains at the scene.

No-one was injured in the incidents and investigations are ongoing.
