Gardaí renew appeal to find missing Dublin woman Bernadette Connolly

Woman missing for three weeks was captured on CCTV near beach in Donabate

A renewed appeal for information has been issued to find Dublin woman Bernadette Connolly, who has been missing for three weeks.

Ms Connolly (45) has been missing from Swords, Co Dublin, since Friday January 7th.

She is described as being five foot six inches in height with a slim build, hazel eyes and long black hair.

At the time Ms Connolly went missing, she was wearing a black Nike training top, black Nike leggings, black trainers with a white sole and a black woolly hat with a black bobble.

She was also wearing a black coat and carrying a black handbag that day, but it is understood she is no longer in possession of those items.

Ms Connolly was last seen when she was dropped off by a grey taxi at the carpark of the Shoreline Hotel in Donabate. She was captured on CCTV walking towards the entrance to Donabate beach.

Gardaí have identified and spoken with the taxi driver who dropped her off.

This afternoon, gardaí will be present at the entrance of Donabate and Malahide beaches until 4pm. They are looking to speak with anyone that may have been on the beach on Friday January 7th when Ms Connolly went missing.

Gardaí continue to appeal to anyone with any information to speak in person with gardaí on Friday or alternatively contact Swords Garda station on 01 666 4700, the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Ms Connolly’s daughter Jade has been trying to find her mother for the past three weeks by appealing for information on social media. Her posts, which include pictures of her mother as well as details of her last known movements, have been shared many times.

On a video on Instagram, Jade said Bernadette was the most amazing mother in the world, and was “always there for absolutely anybody”. She said she would keeping looking for her until she was found.
