Irish man missing in Los Angeles found dead

An Irish man who went missing in Los Angeles last week has been found dead. Gary Reilly (28) was last seen getting a bus from Bakersfield to LA on Tuesday, May 3rd.

His family and friends began an online missing persons campaign when they did not heard from him.

Mr Reilly was found dead with two other men at an apartment block in the early hours of May 5th, according to the Los Angeles Times.

However, the newspaper reports that the authorities did not release Mr Reilly’s name until several days after his body was discovered.

A missing persons poster was shared widely on social media in the days following his last sighting, with the caption “Bring Gary Reilly Home”.

Mr Reilly was described as being 6ft 2in tall and travelling light, carrying a backpack.

The Irish Immigration Pastoral Center in San Francisco confirmed on Tuesday that he had been located, adding that his family thanked all those who assisted in the search.
