Man (19) dies after Dublin motorcycle crash

Crash happened at about 1.50pm when the man’s motorcycle hit a parked car

A 19-year-old man has died following a motorcycle crash in Ballybough this afternoon. Gardaí in Mountjoy garda station are investigating the crash which involved two vehicles.

Gardaí said the crash happened at about 1.50pm when the man’s motorcycle hit a parked car. He was taken to the Mater Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The two occupants of the parked car were uninjured and did not require hospital treatment.

The Ballybough Road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by forensic investigators and local diversions are in place.
