Man (21) dies after car collides with truck in Co Wexford

A 21-year-old man has died after the car he was driving collided with a truck in Co Wexford on Thursday morning.

The driver of the truck (29) was not injured in the collision which happened at about 5.25am near Ballycanew in Gorey, Co Wexford.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and his remains have been removed to the mortuary at Wexford General Hospital.

There were no passengers in either vehicle and the road is closed for forensic examinations. Local diversions in place.
