Gardaí investigating a shooting at a pub in Sallynoggin in Dublin in the early hours of Monday morning have arrested a man in his 30s.

Gardaí investigating a shooting at a pub in Sallynoggin in Dublin in the early hours of Monday morning have arrested a man in his 30s.

The man was arrested in Dublin this evening and is currently being detained at Dun Laoghaire Garda station under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 .

The injured man in his 40s was brought to Saint Vincent’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí wish to speak to a taxi driver who may have picked up a lone male on Sallynoggin Road at approximately 1am and drove in the direction of Rochestown Avenue.
