File being prepared for DPP after 35-year-old woman found seriously injured in Clonsilla

A man has been arrested in relation to an incident in which a 35-year-old woman was found seriously injured in Clonsilla last Sunday.

A man arrested in connection with a possible hit-and-run incident in Clonsilla, Dublin, has been released from custody.

Gardaí said a file will be prepared for the Department of Public Prosecutions after a woman (35) was found seriously injured last Sunday, May 8th.

They have established that she travelled from Harcourt Street, Dublin 2 in a taxi to the Lohunda Drive area prior to her discovery and had been seeking to identify the driver of this taxi.

The woman was taken to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown and later transferred to Beaumont Hospital.

Her condition is described as critical.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses, in particular anyone who may have been in the Lohunda Estate/Ongar Distributor Road area between 3.15am and 4.15am on Sunday morning, to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01 6667000, the Garda confidential line 1800 666111 or any Garda station.
