Man dies after losing control of motorbike in Wicklow

42-year-old pronounced dead at scene of Aughrim crash shortly after midnight

A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Co Wicklow in the early hours of this morning after losing control of his motorcycle.

The crash occurred in Aughrim, Co Wicklow at 00:10am.

The 42-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to St Columcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown for a postmortem.

The road has been closed for a Garda collision investigation.
