Man in 40s killed in car crash near Mallow, Co Cork

A man in his 40s has died in a car crash near Mallow, Co Cork. He was a passenger in a car which collided with another vehicle on the N20 between Buttevant and Mallow. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The two male drivers were taken to University Hospital Limerick and Cork University Hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.

The road was closed to allow an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators and diversions are expected to remain overnight.
