Man in his twenties dead after Leitrim crash

A man in his twenties has been killed in a road crash in Co Leitrim.

The incident occurred at about 3 pm between Fenagh and Ballinamore on the R202, when a car and a motorcycle collided.

The deceased was the driver of the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to Sligo General Hospital.

There were no other injuries in the crash.

Forensic investigators kept the road closed this afternoon to facilitate inspection, with local diversions in place.
