Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Dublin city centre.

The 37-year-old man was injured in the incident, which took place at the junction of Aston Quay and Price’s Lane at about 9.50pm yesterday. Two women, both aged in their 30s, were arrested by gardaí shortly after but were released without charge, pending a file to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The man was taken to St James’s Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
