The North’s First Minister Peter Robinson has been discharged from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast after suffering a suspected heart attack last Monday.
The 66-year-old DUP leader left hospital on Friday to recuperate at home. He was first moved to the Ulster Hospital in east Belfast last Monday and then transferred to the Royal where he underwent a procedure for his heart condition.
Mr Robinson in a tweet said that he was happy to be discharged and back home. He also paid tribute to the medical staff who looked after him. “Thanks to the wonderful RVH cardiac team - everyone a star,” he wrote.
