PSNI detectives trying to establish the cause of the death a 27-year-old man from Co Down have appealed for public assistance.
Police in Newry are trying to trace the last movements of Padraig O'Hanlon who was found dead in his home in Warrenpoint, Co Down, early Sunday morning.
At this stage a cause of death has not been determined and a post-mortem examination is to be carried out.
Detective Sergeant Emme Wallace said Mr O’Hanlon was out on Saturday morning and arrived back at his home at about 4 pm. He was found dead in his home at 3am on Sunday.
“We are trying to trace his movements between 11am and 4 pm yesterday to establish if anything happened in that period that may have a bearing on his death,” she said.
Detective Sergeant Wallace said anyone who was with Mr O’Hanlon on Saturday or saw him during that period to come forward to the police.
Pending the outcome of a post mortem Mr O’Hanlon’s death is being treated as “unexplained”.
