A spokesman for the HSA was unable to confirm the exact circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

So far this year, two farm deaths have been officially confirmed by the HSA as work place fatalities.

In January, a 26-year-old farmer died in Cork after he was trapped under a trailer and last week, 17-year-old jockey Ryan Cusack died following an incident on a stud farm in Co Limerick.
